We are retained by a very large Chinese retailer, which has over 2500 large-footprint, premium stores, with around 500 in the leading shopping malls of China. Our brief is to identify and introduce suppliers of Global Brands and merchandise for consideration for their stores as demand for premium products from within the Chinese economy- burgeons. Our client are positioned in the mid-higher end of the retail spectrum and they are looking at all Home Categories. Anecdotally there are 90m people in China who have levels of disposable income that are in excess of $1000 per month, and over 10m people deemed to be very wealthy. These are their consumers.

Established 60 years ago, our client is a significant public company (market Cap. $1Bn) Their roots are firmly in the design and manufacture of high quality bedding, embroidery and soft furnishings for their own stores but now seek premium alternatives to widen customer choice.  To date they have just put out modest international feelers in respect of exporting their products overseas, (USA) Now they are seeking collaborations with premium retailers in all territories.
